The Jedi Temple on the planet Thyferra was an extremely secret temple open to only human female Jedi. The purpose of this temple was to serve as a sanctuary for women to study the ways of the force without harassment or judgement from men. During the Great Jedi Purge, this secretive temple remained isolated from the destruction of the Jedi, until the Emperor discovered its location. Intending to use the temple as a trap, Emperor Palpatine assigns the vicious and sadistic Moff Brumer to do the job. To make sure the mission is a complete success, he also assigns an elite squadron of stormtroopers to the Moff, who have extensive experience in killing Jedi.
