From what I saw it didn't really seem like there was a lot of "running away", though maybe I just didn't get far enough into the game for that considering I didn't even see any scenes. The main character was a bit too much of a weirdo for me to stick around.
Also, fair warning that the translation may have added some bugs that weren't caught. I don't think there are any, but it's just better to be safe than sorry I think.
