The game uses two mechanics to track your progress with each character.

Affinity is a percentage-based point system. It is calculated based on the points you could have earned with that character. For those LI's you're interested in you should aim for High Affinity.

Persona is your attitude to each character. Either a Bad boy or Nice Guy. Each character has a preference for Bad boy or Nice Guy.

The difficulty system doesn't change the content of the game, just your journey through it. In easy mode, the threshold for attaining high affinity will be lower than in harder difficulties.

A walkthrough hint system is only available in easy mode.
