Porn Game: Chiakipus Cambion version 1.0.0

Overview:
Cambion aims to be a pretty straightforward M2F transformation game. A boy finds himself accidentally summoning a succubus – who takes advantage of his cluelessness and binds him to her, rather than the other way around as usually.
Collect semen to feed the succubus or else… and find a way to banish her, before she completely fries your brain, or eats your soul. Who knew succubi aren’t nice people?​

All the still open roadmap items are ticked off now:

Zach’s repeat content is now filled out (oral, anal, vaginal, DP versions)
The new ending is in
It’s a hidden bonus ending you get from unlocking all the other endings
And that’s it. Everything that had been originally planned for 1.0, plus much more is in the game now, bringing us to a total of 154k words and 136 sprites.

I had planned to spread out the 0.6 versions a bit more, but as it turned out, IRL obligations gave me basically no time to work on Cambion for the better part of five months and then a giant chunk of free time all at once, so I figured I might as well drop it all off as a Christmas present.

Holy shit 1.0
To call the production schedule of the game troubled would be a mild understatement: When I started working on Cambion, I was single, sitting in a random Japanese hotel, and figured I could get 1.0 knocked out in six months and then start working on fleshing out the game, all as an exercise to get back into gamedev, in preparation for helping a friend with his project.

That was in late 2019. Since then we had a pandemic, I got engaged, I moved twice, I took on a new, much more stressful job to finance my fiancee’s lifestyle, I got un-engaged, promoted, oh yeah and payment processors started a pogrom of all the sorts of porn games I want to make. “May you live in interesting times” is a curse for a reason.

(And I’m still waiting for that friend to start his project.)

What’s next?
A break. A huge one. While there’s been plenty of periods where there wasn’t progress with the game, that wasn’t because I wanted to take a break, it was because I couldn’t work on it despite wanting to finish this already, and that’s been taking an emotional toll.

I will, at some point, pick up Cambion again, and start working on some of the planned Post-1.0 content.

But a hell of a lot of these projects require extensive reworking of some game mechanic or another, and so it’ll be slow going.

But before I touch any of that, I want to take a proper break, and work on something else for a change. Mom’s Boyfriend hasn’t been forgotten, and I got plans for it, but given the current climate when it comes to incest-related content, I’ll probably pick up something else first.

I again want to thank all the subscribers for putting up with the constant delays. It helped a lot to keep me focused on the game.

Now that we’re done with the current batch of commissions – Ethan’s and Sarah’s are included in the paid versions –, the prologue pictures have been promoted to the free version of the game.

But with the impending hiatus, I’m putting SubscribeStar in vacation mode, so it’ll stop charging subscribers.

I know I’ve been promising another batch of pictures, but I do want to give the artist a break as well, given how patiently he put up with the craziness that comes with making 50 variations of a scene for all the different bodily transformations possible.

If I pick up the game again and tackle the next batch of commissions, I’ll give a heads up before I reactivate subscribestar.

How? It’s called hidden secret ending for a reason.
The hidden achievement tied to it won’t show up on the achievement screen until after you unlocked it.
Corruption gain was rebalanced somewhat, it now actually works as documented in the achievement guide
Semen gain was also rebalanced:
Findr® opportunities are randomized, you don’t get the OP DP option every day
If you skip over the succubus’s rewards store, semen is now drained properly
A lot of spelling mistakes were fixed
