“I warned you that being a brat tonight would come back to haunt you.” Her pulse is racing, despite her skin being cool to the touch. Tiny emeralds burning in my direction as a flush touches her cheeks. Smiling I bring her closer, relishing each tiny tremor from her body. “Time for bed sweetie, you—have a long night ahead of you.”
