Only the remaining communities strive to preserve what’s left of civilization behind their high, fortified walls. But nothing is ever that simple — to earn a place there, you first have to prove your worth by serving in one of the factions: Fighters, Botanists, Lawmen, or Gifted.
You play as a former Fighter from one of these communities. But fate had other plans — after witnessing your wife’s death, you withdrew from society and chose a life of seclusion with your daughter in a small cabin beyond the walls. However, your plans for a quiet life are suddenly interrupted when someone leaves a mysterious note at your doorstep.​
