Yeah, the reg option doesn't work given the fact that now the data is stored individually on savefiles, i hope there's a way to make it work again with reg editing, at least we have option like yours.

The RegEdit method was working till the previous version of the game. In v0.05, a new save system has been implemented that stores the saves locally in files instead of saving in registry values.

In this version, the registry entries take their values from the save and are updated dynamically. So, even if you change registry values, they will revert back, after an action.

That's why, had to resort to this. If you are able to make the RegEdit method work again, please do let me know as it was way easier than hex-editing. :)

Found a way to alter the stats ! Follow the instructions below:

* Please create a backup of your save file before tampering with it. Modified files cannot be restored.

1. Access the game's save file at " C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\LocaLow\KsTgames\The Twist\playerInfo#.dat " where # denotes the save slot.

2. Open the save file with Notepad. You will see a lot of gibberish. That's fine.. Close it !

3. Download a hex editor or use an online hex editor to open the save files (*.dat). I personally prefer HxD portable version.

4. Note the value of the stat you want to change. E.g. Suppose your relationship with Mom is 45 and you want to increase this.

5. Convert the stat value to hexadecimal using Windows Calculator. So 45 (Decimal) = 2D (Hexadecimal).

6. Now, open the save file in the hex editor. You will see the hexadecimal values on the left side and the conversion on the right side (as is shown in HxD Hex Editor).

7. Now search for the stat's hexadecimal value i.e. 2D in the left Hexadecimal side of the editor (probably somewhere in the lower portion as the top hexadecimal portion mostly contains the game variables' name as is evident by the converted text in the right half of the editor.

8. Now, replace the stat's hex value with a hex value of your choice. E.g. if you want your relationship with Mom to be 300, '2D' will be replaced by the hex value of 300 i.e. '12C'. But there is some manipulation to be done. Since hex values in hex editors are in pairs, therefore '12C' becomes '01 2C' and it has to be entered as '2C 01' ('<Second Half> <First Half>' format). Thus, ultimately, '2D' will be replaced by '2C 01'.

9. Save the file and replace the original save file with the modified one.

10. Load the game and VOILA ! Your stats have been set to the desired values.

NOTE: Guys ! I know that it feels like a chore, but trust me, try it and you will get the hang of it pretty fast.

Mom birthday. After u talkied with sister about that, go to talk with Kelly durring her coffer break, after that u can order 'mom's gift' on pc. U need around 210 with mom for that i think.

Anyone have 0.05c? it's still bugged one scene with enma in 0.05a.

why when i press load game there is no saves even though it shows level 27 in twist data folder. or do i have to start playing this game over again ?

Anyone who knows if video#3 is implemented in this version and how to get it.

You can change stats through registry.
Start New game and do not click on mailbox.
After that go to registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\KsTgames\The Twist.
Change stats you need. Best just to change money stats and 1 screwdriver so you can disable bathroom door early. After that you can advance with sister after 50 affection.
Click F5.
Continue game (click on mailbox). After tutorial ends you will see results.

I believe it's still possible, the saves are stored here "C:\Users\UserName\AppData\LocalLow\KsTgames\The Twist" but the files have the .dat extension and i don't know how to modify then, no even with Notepad++.

Can you even modify stats in this version due to the new save system. i've tried but stats stay the same.
